NikahAI / Nikah AI Ltd
Key terms, purchases and your rights
These key terms apply to everyone using NikahAI from 15 September 2026, together with the in-app Terms & Conditions (version 1.3). If the two conflict, the term more favourable to you applies. Nothing in either document affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. Who can use NikahAI
- You must be 18 or over, a Muslim looking for marriage, and legally free to marry.
- One person, one account. Your profile must be about you and truthful, including your age, marital status and whether you have children.
- You must not use the service to arrange a marriage that would be unlawful where it takes place, including a marriage involving anyone under 18, a forced marriage, a bigamous marriage, or a sham marriage for immigration advantage.
2. What is not allowed
You must not post, send or share, or use NikahAI to do or arrange, any of the following. Many are criminal offences.
- Anything that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child, including grooming, or any attempt to contact or arrange marriage for someone under 18.
- Pressure, threats or deception to make someone marry (forced marriage), or honour-based abuse.
- Fraud and scams, including romance fraud, asking members for money, gifts, investments or bank details, and fake or impersonating profiles.
- Harassment, stalking, threats of violence, coercive or controlling behaviour, and continuing contact after someone blocks or declines you.
- Sharing or threatening to share intimate images of anyone, sending unsolicited sexual images, and sexually explicit content of any kind.
- Hatred or abuse based on race, ethnicity, religion, sect, disability, sex or any other protected characteristic; terrorist or violent extremist content.
- Selling or advertising illegal goods or services, sex work, or commercial solicitation and spam.
- Sharing another person's personal information, photos or private messages without their permission.
3. How we enforce these terms
Members can report profiles, messages and photos and block other members (see Safety, reporting and complaints). Reports are reviewed by a person on our team. We do not use automated content scanning, and we do not review all content before it appears. When we find content or conduct that breaks these terms, we may remove it, warn you, suspend or permanently ban your account, and report it to the police or other authorities. Where it is lawful and safe, we will tell you what action we took and why, and you can challenge it by emailing support@legalnikahai.com with the subject "Appeal".
4. What we do and do not promise
- We do not check members' identity, marital status, background or intentions. A "Verified" badge means someone on our team manually marked that profile as verified. It is not an identity-document, age or background check, and it does not confirm that photos, marital status or intentions are genuine.
- We cannot guarantee you will find a spouse.
- Compatibility scores are calculated by fixed rules, not by an AI model, and are only a guide. Nothing in the app, including Ask NikkahAI, is a religious ruling (fatwa) or legal, financial or relationship advice.
- An Islamic nikah ceremony on its own is usually not a legally recognised marriage in England and Wales. Take advice on registering your marriage.
5. Premium and instant-message credits
Purchases are made through Google Play or the Apple App Store, using the store's payment system. The price is shown in the store before you confirm.
Premium
- Premium is currently offered as a monthly subscription only (the in-app text's reference to an annual plan is out of date).
- It renews automatically each month at the price shown in the store until you cancel. Cancel in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID subscription settings. Apple requires cancellation at least 24 hours before the renewal date. After cancelling you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for.
- Deleting your NikahAI account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store as well.
What Premium includes today
Premium currently gives you: sending instant messages without using credits; up to 20 AI Match suggestions instead of 5; and unlimited Ask NikkahAI messages once that feature is available (free accounts get 5 messages per sign-in session).
The Premium screen in the current app also lists "See Who Likes You", "Priority Placement" and "Premium Badge"; these features do not yet exist. It lists "Unlimited Messaging", "Advanced Filters" and "Enhanced Privacy" (the discoverable setting); these are available to all members, not only Premium. We are correcting the screen. If you bought Premium believing it included those features, contact support@legalnikahai.com. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content and services must match their description, and you may be entitled to a remedy, including a refund where appropriate.
Instant-message credits
Credits are sold singly or as a bundle of seven, are added to your account when the store confirms payment, are used up when you send an instant message, and do not expire while your account is open. Credits have no cash value and are lost if you delete your account.
Cancelling a purchase
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content or a digital service. For digital content supplied immediately, the right to cancel ends once supply begins only if you expressly agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you would lose the right. The NikahAI app does not itself ask for that agreement. If the store's checkout did not obtain it from you, your 14-day right to cancel applies: contact the store or support@legalnikahai.com. Store refund policies apply in addition, not instead of your statutory rights.
6. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Subject to that, we are not responsible for the conduct of other members, on or off the service, or for business losses.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using NikahAI and delete your account at any time (see Deleting your account). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or where needed to protect members or comply with the law. If we close your account without good reason, you are entitled to a refund of any Premium period you have paid for and not received.
8. Changes, law and disputes
We may change these terms to reflect changes in the service or the law. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes, and if you do not agree you can close your account and cancel your subscription. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law where you live.
