Deleting your account and data
1. Delete your account in the app
- Sign in to NikahAI (in the app or at nikah-ai.com).
- Open Settings and go to the Account section.
- Tap Delete Account and type the email address of your account to confirm.
Deletion takes effect straight away. Before deleting you can download a copy of your data from Settings.
2. Can't sign in? Ask on the web
Use the deletion request form at nikah-ai.com/account-deletion, or email privacy@legalnikahai.com from the email address on the account with the subject "Delete my account". Web and email requests are handled by a person, not automatically. We may ask you to confirm you own the account, and we complete the deletion within one month of receiving the request.
3. What happens when your account is deleted

Your name, date of birth, gender, location and coordinates, bio, religious details, ethnicity, preferences shown on your profile, personality answers, photos references, credits and verification status are erased. Your email address and password are replaced, you are signed out on every device, and we attempt to delete your photo files (if a file cannot be deleted at that moment, it is no longer linked to your account). |
| For up to 30 days | Messages and connections with other members remain visible to those members, shown against a deleted account. |
| After 30 days | The account is permanently deleted, together with its messages (sent and received), connections, matches and scores, partner preferences, passes, blocks, reports made by or about the account, wali invitations, consent records, warnings and device push tokens. |
| Kept | Our team's audit log of moderation actions (with the link to your account removed); the record of any web deletion request (email and reason); emails you sent to our mailboxes, for as long as needed; and purchase records held by Google, Apple and RevenueCat under their own rules. |
4. Subscriptions are separate
Deleting your account does not cancel Premium. Cancel in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID subscription settings, or you may continue to be charged. Unused instant-message credits are lost on deletion.
5. Deleting only some data
You can change your profile and clear some optional details, such as ethnicity and sect, in Edit Profile, and hide your profile with the discoverable setting. Edit Profile currently requires profession, smoking and drinking habits, prayer frequency and religiosity. To remove any of those, stored device coordinates, or any other specific data without deleting your account, email privacy@legalnikahai.com.
